Is Haven a third app or database?
No. Haven is the combined installation and read-only room display produced by Bask and Shed. The two apps remain independent and retain separate, portable data.
Can I install only Bask or Shed?
Yes. The same installer offers Bask, Shed, or Haven. Each standalone project also has its own page and installer. You can add the other app later without replacing existing data.
What hardware do I need?
A 64-bit Raspberry Pi running Raspberry Pi OS is the easiest option, though another 64-bit Debian machine works too. Bask additionally needs compatible Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors. Any browser on your home network can open the apps.
Does Haven expose household information?
No. The room display uses a private server-to-server connection and receives a deliberately limited Shed feed. It excludes household identities, access codes, rewards, history, completion identifiers, and all write access.
Does it require the internet?
Internet access is needed for installation and updates. Normal local monitoring, care records, and the Haven dashboard run on your home network. Optional notification services use the provider you choose.
Is this husbandry or veterinary advice?
No. Haven helps you monitor, plan, and record care. Species targets and schedules should come from appropriate, trusted sources, and health concerns belong with a qualified veterinarian.
